Answers to the Most Common Questions:

As a rule, Santander Bank Polska requires personal identification at the Warsaw branch: the director (for a legal entity) or an individual comes with the original documents and signs the forms; the terms are usually counted "from the moment of signing". Exceptions are possible: for some non-resident companies, a consular procedure is available (signing and certification at the consulate), and for European companies the bank sometimes allows a remote format - the decision is always individual and may include requests for additional documents within the framework of KYC / Compliance.
In the practice of Santander Bank Polska, non-resident individuals usually need a PESEL and registration in Poland; the bank itself specifies that for foreigners living in Poland, the key criteria are the presence of a permanent residence card and income from Poland (the decision on products and additional documents is made individually). For non-resident companies, it is necessary to prove a "connection with Poland" (counterparties, employees, office/warehouse), have a tax number; the bank often expects active activity of >1 year, turnover (guideline - from ~6 million EUR/year, lower - individually) and a basic corporate package, while documents in a foreign language are submitted with a sworn translation into Polish.
After in-person identification, a personal account is opened within 2 days, a corporate account - after all approvals with the bank, the director comes and signs the bank forms and the account is activated. Preliminary approval takes about 2-3 weeks.; the cost of support is stated from 600 € for individuals and from 1,900 € for legal entities, and bank tariffs for services are specified "upon request".
