The Mercurius payment system was established in 2017 in the Czech Republic as a licensed provider of international payment services. The meeting can be held at the Mercurius office in Prague or Riga, or by agreement in another country. The Mercurius payment system does not open accounts for offshore companies, financial intermediary companies, companies registered in the United States, and companies whose directors or owners are US citizens.

The Mercurius payment system adheres to the principle of ‘know your customer’ and in each case reserves the right to request additional documents, which will lead to an increase in the time required to open an account, and may also refuse to open an account without giving any reason.

Stages of account opening

Preparation of documents

You fill in our application form and provide us with full information about your business and counterparties. Along with the questionnaire, you must provide corporate documents of the company and personal identification documents of the director and beneficiary or individual (for a personal account).

Analysis of documents

Our specialists analyze the information and documents provided and fill out the Mercurius payment system questionnaires.

Submission of documents

We send the package of documents for opening an account to the Mercurius manager for review.

Passing verification

The director and beneficiary (for a legal entity) or an individual are identified during a personal meeting with the manager.

At this stage, the Mercurius payment system verifies the client and may request additional information about the activity and source of funds.

Account opening

The account is opened within 5-10 business days after a personal meeting with the manager and the submission of a complete package of documents.
